Was that a miracle flashing by.
was that a prayer
and it's answer.
It seems to be far stronger

than what I've come to expect,

deeper than where
I have hidden my heart.
It's easy to say why me,

it's harden to say why not.

Have I hidden my faith within narrow expectations.
It's hard to turn back
to what appears to be a gentle beckoning.
Was that a miracle
flashing by

Here's a little miracle for you, Geoff. I worked a retreat this weekend for young women 15-20 years old called a Chrysalis. The very first song sung by the music team on Thursday night was "The Power of Your Love". I thought of you. It was the perfect way to start off a weekend where they found themselves loved unconditionally. Many lives were changed. Many regrets left behind, because that's the kind of God He is - the forgiving and forgetting kind. I was in the prayer room during the retreat and we saw so many prayers answered in amazing ways and yes, I'm sure some of them were asking "why me?" We were all saying "why not." Thank you for putting those words down on paper and putting them to music. They're still beautiful.

Hi Geoff,
I am someone who always used to look forward to a new Geoff Bullock song.
I had some confidence that they were playable, singable and had a discerning feel with their words.
I just dropped in to see what you are doing and you seem well, so I'm pleased.
I always thought that your songs brought more to Hillsong's reputation than Hillsong bought to you.
I hope things continue to go well for you, I miss the simplicity of the worship that your songs created, before christian music had to be sung four times with various sub repeats to somehow or other create an air of worship that frequently only gives rise to boredom.

Dear Candy... so sorry I haven't replied to your comment. As you can imagine "The Power of Your love" is a very special song, in so many ways.
It's impact on me goes on.
At the end of July, as part of World Youth Day 2008, I had the amazing honour of singing three of my songs to a crowd of 250,000..one of them "The Power of Your love"... young Catholic kids from all over the world. It just blew me away.. so. I am a very blessed old songwriter!!

Hi anonymous, thank you for your kind words. Whatever has happened before I left or since I have moved on from Hillsong..more and more I find myself feeling so incredibly blessed that I was there and my songs were being sung and recorded.
What a blessed man!!
