tuesday's thoughts.
The more you search for grace
the more you realise your need of it.
when you embrace grace as your soul security
your offerings become gifts of thanksgiving,
and you start the journey from achieving
to receiving.
tuesday's prayer.
Let me cease the struggling that lies
at the centre of spiritual achievement.
Help me to cease spiritual measurement,
striving and work. Let me rest in receiving,
unmerited and unearned,
unconditional and free.
Let me search for that Love
that is searching for me.
The more you search for grace
the more you realise your need of it.
when you embrace grace as your soul security
your offerings become gifts of thanksgiving,
and you start the journey from achieving
to receiving.
tuesday's prayer.
Let me cease the struggling that lies
at the centre of spiritual achievement.
Help me to cease spiritual measurement,
striving and work. Let me rest in receiving,
unmerited and unearned,
unconditional and free.
Let me search for that Love
that is searching for me.

Geoff, the thought and prayer today were exactly what I needed to hear right now. Is it all right to print a copy of them for my noticeboard? In the busyness of life, I need these reminders to keep me from striving.
I'm so glad I stumbled across you today. I'll be back.
By the way, your photos are beautiful.

Dear Deb, thank you so much for visiting my blog. When you have the chance have a listen to the music.. Please go ahead and print as many copies as you wish... and please keep stumbling across me any day!!
Thanks so much, Geoff. I need that reminder right in front of me right now. I'll print it off straight away. :-)
And I actually visited soundclick this morning and listened to quite a lot of your reworked and new music. I'll be going back there regularly too. The Dance of Grace on the main page actually brought tears to my eyes. Amazing, isn't it? No lyrics, but the music hit straight at the heart.
Also, really liked the re-wording of Refresh My Heart and I Will Never Be. Is it all right to use these versions in church instead of the originals? I always loved the originals, but I think you've taken them deeper, and softened them in some ways (in the right way). They're humble; less demanding. Beautiful. That second verse of You Refresh My Heart really captured it.
Anyway, before this turns into a novel, I'd better get back to work. Praying for more people to stumble over your blog and re-discover your music--the new and the old!
In His love, Deb
Geoff,
Just stumbled across your blog. Loving your journey, my friend. Down in the trenches where it's real real real ;)
