Fear

Fear?
Fear has no place in spirituality.
Love is the end of fear.
Perfect love is God's gift to mankind,
To you,
To me.
Have you fear?
Why?
You are loved,
Perfectly..
Fear ended
With the dying cry
Of forgiveness.
Forgiveness,
The perfect expression
Of perfect love.
Challenge your fear,
Exchange it
To
Love
And loving,
And being
Loved.

Your right Geoff, fear looses out to love every time. Love rules.

So true, but then why is so much of spirituality based on the fear of what may happen if we do this or don't do that? When you really think about it, fear is the undercurrent of so much of what is practised today.

1: Because people have obtained a certain "comfortableness" with fear that they prefer over faith.

2: Because we've been intellectually educated about who God is, and yet never taken the risk/bliss of experiencing who He is for ourselves

3: Because we have'nt been allowed (until recently) to grasp the love of God in Christ Jesus

Agree Geoff.

Because the Love of God in Christ Jesus is too Good for the religious mindset to allow... When grace is allowed to take a central place in our church, then we realise how wrongheaded we were-about who God was/is, who we are in Him and who He is in us..
But we've got to be willing to be wrong about the thoughts/theology and understandings we've held in order to be able to experience the mind of the spirit.

Will do. Ive been thoroughly enjoying the questions. As a friend of mine Steve Mcvey says "we are allowed to use our minds as christians".

Question for you... Have you read any C Baxter Kruger ?

This is a wonderful outlet of ministry bro !

Right on Geoff, you're on a roll!!

Fear is a control mechanism that certain spirits feed off.

I now understand that, historically, part of the confusion comes from the fact that the Old Testament "God"...was not who he claimed to be. ;-)

Absolutely... until we challenge everything with grace we will be stuck with contradictions that will be enforced upon us.
