there are sunsets unseen

yet painted,

a glory

for an instance

displayed.

there are universes,

constellations,

suns,

moons,

stars

never seen,

declaring

a beauty hidden for all eternity.

we frame our spirituality

in what we know,

we confine it 

by rejecting

what we don't.

yet,

more real,

more wondrous,

there is an eternity

that declares

more than we

could ever ask,

or think.

Yet,

we shrink into our frail

and feeble knowledge

demanding that we know all things

dismissing all others.

Larger than life,

deeper than an ocean

of oceans,

a mystery that speaks our language

whilst refusing to be bound by it.
