On earth as it is in heaven

So very conscious lately of Jesus' prayer and proclamation:

"Let Your will be done here, on this earth, our earth, where we live, where we have influence, where we love and have community.. let Your will, as it has been predestined and proclaimed from before the foundations of our world, our history and stories, let Your will be done here, as it is in Your heaven, Your glory, in Your presence, Your word, Your ways and Your will."

Let Your heaven be our vision and our highest work here on Your earth, our home.

Trust

What is heard
And what has been said
Are mixed
In the crucible
Of trust.
Where faith falters,
Trust
Where strength fades
Trust
When all the visible
Becomes invisible,
When all that is known
Becomes unknown
Trust.
The path breaks into
The impenetrable
It traverses the chasms
It climbs into the heavens
It calls:
No return,
No surrender
Home is on
The other side
And it calls
Us on.
Trust.
